Roast Asparagus

Preheat oven to 425°F

  1. Coat Asparagus in oil on baking sheet(s). Avoid overcrowding
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste (aiming for the heavy side).
  3. Bake in oven for 17 minutes, shorter for thin stalks. For more crispiness substitute the broiler for the last few minutes.
  4. Add lemon to taste.
  5. Add Parmesan if desired.

Commentary

You can sub out the salt for other salty things such as soy sauce or balsamic vinegar. Might want to skip the lemon, parmesan, and/or pepper in that case, though soy sauce and pepper has worked fine.
